A busy and exciting week
It has been a busy week in school for children and adults alike. Mrs Lightfoot and Mrs Cox have spent time observing lessons and looking through children’s books and discussing their learning with them. It is tremendously encouraging to see the high quality of the children’s work and learning and teaching here at St Matthew’s.
Our School Improvement Advisor visited us this week to meet with senior staff and school governors and was very complimentary about the many good things being achieved and processes in place to enable our children to make good progress and achieve well. We are very proud of our school and our children!
Thank you to parents who encourage the children at home and practise reading, spellings, times tables etc. Your time and efforts really do help your children!
