Friends of St Matthew’s School, Parents Teacher Association
The “Friends of St Matthew’s” is our Parents Teacher Association. All parents, staff and governors have a part to play in contributing towards the successful life of our school and helping to provide the best for our children.
The “Friends of St Matthew’s” is led by a committee of parents and staff who organise a range of social and fundraising events enjoyed by the children and adults too. All parents are encouraged to join in whether by being on the committee or helping out at specific events. All support is appreciated!
Recent events have included a family bingo and games afternoon, book sale, gardening morning plus the annual Christmas and summer fairs. The PTA also fund special treats for the children at Christmas and help to subsidise the cost for parents of school trips.
Many parents also help with regular school lessons such as swimming, reading, and art / craft, school clubs, particularly sports fixtures and music festivals, and school trips.
