School reopens
School reopens for the children in Years 1,2,3,4,5,6 on Monday 6th September at 8.50am. Children should wait in the infant (Reception & Yrs 1&2) or junior (Yrs 3,4,5,6) playground. Teachers will be out in the playgrounds to meet the children and take them to the classroom at 8.50am. At the end of the school day the teachers will bring the children back out to the playground to meet parents.
Parents of children starting reception class in September have been informed of the starting date for your child.
Nursery children start back on Wednesday 8th September at 8.55am or 12.15pm
Please make sure that, on their return to school, your child wears smart school uniform (named please!), with shoes, not trainers.
The children in Years 3,4,5 and 6 should also have their own, named, pencil case with a pencil, handwriting pen, rubber, sharpener, coloured pencils etc. Children must also have PE kit - blue shorts and white t-shirt and plimsolls/trainers.

Sports Day - Monday 19th July
9.30am - Yrs 3,4,5,6
(races 11.00am approx.)
1.20pm - Reception, Yrs 1 & 2
(races 2.00pm approx.)
The format of the day, as last year, will be that the juniors have their events in the morning and the infants in the afternoon. The first hour of each session will be a circuit of different sports activities for all the children to enjoy, followed by the more traditional races.
Parents are welcome to join us for the whole session or for the races only. Do bring your own chairs, blankets to sit on.
In order to ensure the safety of all children during the lunch hour we would ask that all parents go home after junior sports, returning later for infant sports .
St Matthew's Church
All parents and friends of our school, especially those linked to children in Year 6, are warmly invited to join us for our annual Leavers' Service
at St Matthew's Church at 10am on Thursday 22nd July.
